Homepage / PPA & CPD PE Support KS1 & KS2 PE Curriculmn
Our objective is to make PE inclusive, fun, engaging and challenging. In doing this we will also raise standards, increase participation and enable the child to be the best they can possibly be. Having been a PE Lead in one of the largest primary schools in the country (St Georges) and taught in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted (St Bridget’s) I feel I can make a real impact in your school.
Training is provided by Brad Donelan. He was a former professional cricketer. Played for Sussex and Somerset CCC. The picture above is his 1st First Class wicket, I.T. Botham, not a bad way to start!

Curriculum Time & PPA support
Having delivered over 5,800 PE lessons to children in KS1 & KS2 on the Wirral over the last 11 years you can be assured that you get a quality coach that has experience in delivering engaging and appropriate sessions to both infants and juniors. Having worked in a large number of primary schools on the Wirral covering the very different social economic backgrounds has enabled me to plan and deliver sessions that meet the needs of the mixed ability and behaviours of the pupils I teach.
Good behaviour management strategies maintain an excellent level of discipline and rewards enable a fun and stimulating learning environment.
Testimonials:
Mr Neil Le Feuvre – St Bridget’s Primary School  (West Kirby)
“Brad Donelan has worked in St. Bridget’s for the last five years. During this time he has shown himself to be a highly skilled, professional and reliable multi-sports coach. He supports all levels of children effectively and knows all of the children he teaches by name. He also takes a full part in the planning, assessment and reporting of the PE curriculum. His skill, knowledge and passion for sport would be an asset in any school.”

Mr Tony Lacey – CEO Oak Tree Multi Academy TrustÂ
“Brad Donelan is an excellent coach of a range of sports, including gymnastics, cricket and rugby. He is very professional, and has excellent behaviour management skills. He covers PPA very effectively, and is well-planned and resourced for every session. The children have made excellent progress in all the sports he coaches due to his high quality coaching. His after-school clubs are well planned and the children love the sessions. I would recommend Brad for any PE support in school.

Anand Srivastara – Parent of two boys that attend my cricket academy
“We have struck gold with Brad. Quite impressed with his well focused training sessions. His ability to focus on individual abilities of boys and nourish them to excellence is outstanding. Using perfect blend of experience, techniques and technology Brad brings best out of all. What has impressed me further is his focus on fitness and postures which has not only helped new comers but enhanced skills of existing players. Both my sons have excelled under his guidance and are  becoming a well trained sports person.
I recommend Pro Cricket Academies to all those who either professionally or out of passion want to excel in the game. Under Brad it the best place to go.”Â

I pride myself on becoming a member of the school staff team and integrate well in the staff room. Lesson plans are detailed and the teacher gets an overview and feedback of every lesson to see who has achieved and exceeded the objectives as well as who may require further support.
I also give four awards out each lesson to those children that have given their best and worked hard.

This service includes:
Provide professional development for teachers & teaching assistants
In a number of schools across the Wirral I have delivered Continued Professional Development for teachers and teaching assistants. These have been delivered in areas that have been identified as a weakness. Team teaching initially and getting the teacher to have an active role in my sessions allows them to build confidence and develop their skills. This allows them to deliver engaging and more challenging PE lessons and leads to up skilling individuals.Â
Deliver or support Occupational Therapy programmes targeting most vulnerable children.
I have worked closely with the SEN co-ordinator to put together a programme that meets the needs of the most vulnerable children within a school. This is based on the ABC (Assessment Battery for Children) assessment. Termly testing takes place to monitor individuals and track progress. Stations are set-up using a variety of equipment that help the children develop:
Â
Pelvic & Shoulder Girdle Stability
Hand & Mobility Strength
Co-ordination and balance
Strengthen core stability
Strength and conditioning of various muscle groups
Fine gross motor control
INSET to develop school staff confidence and knowledge
I am also able to run interactive  INSET days / half days targeting any area of PE mentioned above in the sections highlighted as Sports, Gymnastics, Outdoor Adventurous Activities. These can cater for staff in both KS1 & KS2.
Provide lunchtime games and physical activities
I am able to offer a wide selection of sports and activities for KS1 & KS2 as extra-curricular activities (lunch and after school). These sessions could be geared to preparing a team for a tournament or targeted at a particular year group. I have previously run a mini Olympics during lunchtime where over the course of a half term everyone in the school completes a serious of physical tests and gets a score.
